 EXPOSE Summer Youth Program Provides a Host of Benefits to High School StudentsBy: EXPOSE Angeles recently concluded its highly successful 9-week summer camp, bringing together a diverse group of professionals to inspire and educate students. It allowed them to explore and gain firsthand experience with fields of interest, network with likeminded peers, and build new skills. With a strong focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) opportunities, this year's program featured experts from various fields. Speakers included Mr. Leslie Luke from the Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management; Mr. Charles Sharpe of BEMA International; These professionals shared their unique career journeys, the challenges they've faced, and their personal goals, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the vast opportunities available within STEAM fields. David Armenta, Recreation Coordinator at the Expo Center, noted that the students thoroughly enjoyed the summer camp, a particular highlight was a hands on activity that introduced students to a cultural heritage but also fostered creativity and self- expression, bringing cultural awareness to the diverse group of students.
