Frost Place Extends Hours During Foliage Season

FRANCONIA, N.H. - Aug. 28, 2024 - PRLog -- From September 1 through October 14, The Frost Place museum will be open six days a week from 10 am until 5 pm, closed Tuesdays. The 1915-homestead of poet Robert Frost and his family has been preserved by the Town of Franconia and is now a museum dedicated to the celebration of poetry and the arts. All are invited to take "the road less traveled by" and enjoy fall colors from Frost's front porch.

The property features a house museum, with original furniture, rare books, handwritten letters and poems, as well as the Henry Holt Barn, now a gift shop with books, teeshirts, and other memorabilia. A 25-minute video provides a brief history of Frost and his life in the Franconia area. There is a flat, quarter-mile poetry trail through the woods which honors Frost's passion for botanizing, and has several of his most famous poems posted along the way. Spectacular views of the Franconia Ridge drew Frost to the home over 100 years ago and continue to captivate visitors from near and far today.
