Law enforcement encompasses police officers, correctional officers, TSA agents, and other security personnel. "At South Shore Line, we deeply value the dedication and sacrifices our medical professionals and law enforcement officers make daily," stated Amber Kettring, Manager of Customer Service and Communication at SSL. "By offering complimentary rides to first responders, we aim to express our gratitude for their tireless efforts in safeguarding our communities." Throughout the year, the SSL gives back to the community by welcoming various groups to take advantage of free transportation on designated days. In the near future, the train will be offering free transportation for military personnel, including active-duty, reserves, and veterans, in honor of Veterans Day.
