Radical Empathy Partners with ArborXR to Deliver Award-Winning VR Training Instantly on Oculus Quest

AUSTIN, Texas - Sept. 9, 2024 - PRLog -- Radical Empathy, a nonprofit dedicated to abuse prevention through virtual reality, announces its new partnership with ArborXR. This collaboration enables the immediate delivery of TRAPPED: A VR Detective Story to Oculus Quest 2 and 3 headsets using ArborXR's Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.

Billy Joe Cain, co-founder of Radical Empathy, explains, "Previously, Jacqueline and I would drive across the country in our SUV, spending nights in parking lots and lugging our bulky HTC Vive system into offices. Setting up and tearing down the equipment took about an hour each time, and we had to persuade people that VR was a genuine, effective tool for training and worth the investment. Now, with ArborXR's MDM system, potential customers can experience TRAPPED by simply pressing a few buttons and trying it out on their own Quest VR headset. This shift has streamlined our process, making it easier for organizations to access and benefit from our innovative training tool instantly."

TRAPPED: A VR Detective Story has received acclaim from subject matter experts and users for its impactful abuse prevention training. The app has been endorsed by hundreds of professionals, including doctors, nurses, survivor leaders, and law enforcement officials.

Houston Police Human Trafficking Unit Lieutenant Angela M. Merritt stated, "It's very real, it's very typical from what I see on a daily basis, investigating human trafficking incidences. The app accurately represents how predators meet victims online and groom them. It's on point with the cycle of control, manipulation, and coercion."

Terri Markham, Executive Director of Uprising, shared, "With youth, we have found TRAPPED to be an incredible tool. We use it in schools and youth events, and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Kids have expressed newfound awareness about social media safety and the dangers of exploitation. We're so impressed that we're planning to invest in more headsets to reach more people."

Organizations can easily get started by purchasing Oculus Quest 2 or 3 headsets, signing up for ArborXR at arborxr.com, and licensing TRAPPED through reefcares.org. A 30-day demo is available for those who wish to experience the app before committing.
