In this story, set in the 24th century on a planet in the Orion Nebula, a young girl is viciously murdered. Tyler Weeks is the 20-year-old brother of Esther, the preteen who was killed. At first, he and two friends are suspects, but they are cleared by DNA evidence.

Tyler is now out for vengeance and is looking for the real killer.

When Esther's murderer is finally caught, Tyler's family is allowed in on the interrogation, which leads to the "suicide" of the killer.

The story shifts to romance when a lovely young woman named Colleen confides to Tyler that she was implanted with the fertilized eggs of his deceased sister. Tyler marries her and together they raise the baby girl who will receive all the love Tyler had for his little sister.

About the Author: Gregory A. Pierson is from Alton, Illinois, the birthplace of jazz musician Miles Davis. This is his eighth book.
