NAPLES, Fla. - Sept. 9, 2024 - PRLog -- Charles Jarrett has joined the Board of Directors for the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance, a local nonprofit organization on a mission to create community awareness and provide secure housing for low-income families in Immokalee.

A successful, local professional and active community volunteer, Jarrett is the 17th member of the Board of Directors. He has 30 years of experience at Merrill Private Wealth Management and holds numerous professional designations such as Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Certified Private Wealth Advisor, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and others. In his role as a Private Wealth Advisor, Jarrett helps business owners, corporate executives and multi-generational families nationally to offer problem-solving skills and an intimate knowledge of best practices.

His volunteer experience spans across Southwest Florida, where he currently serves as a professional advisor and mentor for Guadalupe Center, a nonprofit that provides life-changing educational programs to Immokalee students in need. He is also serving as a volunteer and committee member with Boy Scouts of America, Southwest Florida Council and as the Membership Chair of the Naples Bay Sunrise Toastmasters Club.

"After witnessing the horrible conditions that families in Immokalee are living in, the vision of the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance really resonates with me and I'm honored to be involved," says Jarrett. "With each building going up, we are not only giving families of Immokalee access to secure, affordable, hurricane-resistant housing, but we are also providing resources for healthcare, education and financial stability to give them continued support for their future."

The Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance recently celebrated the grand opening of the first of eight buildings at its new affordable apartment community in Immokalee, which will provide low-income families with safe, secure living environments for their families to flourish. Once complete, the community will feature eight apartment buildings and 128 units built to withstand a Category 5 hurricane, along with a community center, after-school programs, health care assistance and more. Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance

The Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) created in 2018 by a group of concerned citizens who saw the damage done by Hurricane Irma to already substandard trailers and shacks rented by farmworkers and other low-income families in Immokalee. The IFHA vision is for these families to have access to secure, affordable, hurricane-resistant rental housing, which will strengthen the community by fostering health, education, dignity and financial stability. The organization has embarked on a project to create community awareness and raise funds for a 128-rental unit complex in Immokalee. For more information, please visit ImmokaleeFairHousing.org.
