FEM Provides a Safe, Free Space for Female Business Owners

With a friendship spanning two decades, Velvet Lattimore and Qiana Williams collaborated with powerful women-led businesses for an impactful event September 21, 2024.
 
NEW YORK - Sept. 10, 2024 - PRLog -- Fashion innovators Velvet Lattimore and Qiana Williams have a long history, from working at various fashion corporations to branching out and creating individual businesses.

The pair of ladies assembled a group of influential businesswomen to speak with new and aspiring entrepreneurs in Harlem, NYC at Communitas America on September 21, 2024. Communitas America is building an entrepreneurial ecosystem, primarily made up of BIPOC and women changemakers building inclusive and equitable local economies in historically under-resourced communities in the United States. They aspire to:
  • Build individual, family, and generational wealth through economic independence
  • Create community wealth, raise local solutions, and empower their communities
  • Support structural change and remove barriers
  • Create jobs and economic sustainability
FEM (Female Entrepreneur Moguls) provides a warm and safe environment for women to discuss their business ventures, ideas, and concerns openly. The community fosters unity and allows everyone present to learn together.

Annette DelValle will moderate the event. She defines 'Renaissance Woman' with vibrance and an inviting personality that captivates you. She excels as a content creator and Executive Assistant to T-Money, an original host of YO! MTV Raps. A creative visionary, she produces impactful videos and photos for the "Tha T-Money Podcast Joint Featuring Ciara Ross" Podcast.

Velvet Lattimore commenced her fashion career in production and marketing with a dream of establishing her accessory brand. After careful planning, she took a leap of faith. She introduced Vedazzling Accessories Boutique, a retail platform for up-and-coming Black accessory designers, and houses the Black Accessory Designer's Alliance® (BADA).

Qiana Williams began her career in fashion as a Textile Technologist. As the economy shifted, she ventured into journalism and marketing, launched Goddess Media, Inc., and achieved certification from Google in Data Analytics with (R) Programming. Qiana is also the Founder of VPR Radio. On Thursdays, she and her partner DJFMI conduct thought-provoking, insightful interviews with industry leaders and creatives.

Tanisha Middleton, Owner of FramedbyTeeTee has 16 years of experience in ophthalmic practice. Tanisha is passionate, dedicated, and decorated in optics. Established in 2014, FramedByTeeTee is a rare and unique optical Boutique owned and solely operated by a Female African American Optician.

Dawn Holloway- professionally known as DH Style- serves the fashion world as a renowned fashion stylist and contributor. With a lifelong passion for fashion, she obtained her Personal Styling Certification from The School of Style. Dawn is also the Editor-In-Chief of www.DHStyle.info.

The event includes an interactive Q&A and networking happy hour with light bites, desserts from Chef Fresh from Fresh Taste Bakery, and refreshments. Interested attendees may register and attend for free.
