Award Season Brings Delight to our Building Project Teams and Owners

AUSTIN, Texas - Sept. 13, 2024 - PRLog -- Today, let's explore why masonry and in this instance Lueders Limestone deserves the spotlight. This weekend, we celebrated award-winning project teams and bid a heartfelt farewell to Mackie Bounds of Brazos Masonry, the outgoing President of Texas Masonry Council. Mackie's vision and inspiration remind us why masonry is the most "beautiful wall system". It gives us the freedom for stunning design, durability, creates legacy as well as protection in health and fire safety.

In the Higher-Education category, the Ralph S. O'Conner Building for Engineering Science at Rice University Campus receives recognition in design excellence of our architects, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and to the superior craftsmanship of our masonry contractors Camarata Masonry Systems. The outstanding performance of our member supplier teams Continental Cut Stone, Arcosa Lightweight, Prosoco Inc. and Upchurch Kimbrough and their collective efforts earned a little love from our Judges' Panel.  The Panel included both architects for exceptional design evaluations and masonry contractors for the execution and craftsmanship and attention to detail.  In review were Texas Project Submissions across nine categories.

Congratulations to ALL. We appreciate the hard work, commitment and encouragement from each project team member and look to a brighter more sustainable future in Masonry.
