Each speaker brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to this important conversation: Arielle Starkman – an Inclusive Education Consultant in Los Angeles, CA. Over the past 10+ years, Arielle has been immersed in all things "Special Education"…from teaching, to leadership, to navigating the IEP process from the "parent side". Her passion for disability inclusion has been the through line of it all. In her capacity as an Inclusive Education Consultant, Arielle inspires school leaders to reimagine their special education programs by helping them transition from serving students with disabilities in isolated special education classes to creating fully inclusive classrooms designed to meet the unique needs of all students. Rochelle Christopher – is a skilled facilitator with expertise in social psychology and leadership development focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB). With over a decade of experience in Boston's healthcare and nonprofit sectors, she drives innovative solutions for systemic issues affecting BIPOC communities. As founder of For Black Girls Inc., Rochelle fosters equitable opportunities. Her skills in business development and team building support her success in launching businesses and publishing authors, emphasizing experiential learning and continuous growth in her leadership philosophy. Dr. Kristan Weisdack, LBS, CIMI, CIMHP – the Founder and CEO of BehaviorWorx of Southwestern PA, with 18 years of experience working with individuals with special needs across the lifespan. She specializes in holistic approaches to behavior, addressing root causes such as gut health and nutrition to help families and professionals manage behavioral challenges. As a licensed behavior specialist and certified integrative mental health provider, Dr. Weisdack has worked with numerous professionals across various disciplines to implement whole-person care for those with special needs.
