That mixtape earned him two Grammy nominations and solidified his reputation as a rising star in indie music. The following year, as part of his high school senior project, The ZYG 808 produced and released the critically acclaimed album, BEAT LOUNGE NOTES. The project garnered attention on NPR for songs like "Glory of History" and "PIONEERS", establishing him as a versatile and innovative artist blending alternative rock, hip-hop, and experimental sounds. Now, with his new album BUILD/DESTROY, The ZYG 808 continues to push creative boundaries. His unique ability to merge genres has resonated with fans and critics alike, leading to sold-out performances across New England. The album showcases his growth as both a musician and producer, with powerful lyrics and intricate soundscapes that have been captivating live audiences. Multifaceted Artist and Industry Professional When he's not performing his solo work, The ZYG 808 can be found on stage with the Grammy-nominated soul-funk band The GroovaLottos, where he serves as the group's drummer. In addition, he's a leading member of the WAMPTRONICA collective, a group of musicians and DJs known for their underground dance music parties. Their monthly THUMP & SOUL SESSION in New Bedford has become a local sensation, and this summer's pop-up dance party tour, 'The SESSION', brought their unique sound to audiences throughout New England. Beyond performing, The ZYG 808 is also a recording artist and staff producer for Poly-Groove Records and an audio engineer for Polyphonic Studios. He's currently completing his BFA at Goddard College, where he's studying Music Composition, Audio Engineering, and Arts Education.
