Shirley Chisholm State Park Bash!

NEW YORK - Oct. 6, 2024 - PRLog -- The Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute (SCCI), in partnership with New York State Parks, is honored to host a Wellness Walk featuring Miko Branch, Co-Founder and CEO of Miss Jessie's and SCCI Board Member. This event celebrates both the New York State Parks' Centennial and Shirley Chisholm's legacy. The Wellness Walk will take place on Sunday, October 6th, at 2 PM at Shirley Chisholm State Park, located at 1750 Pennsylvania Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11239.

Miko Branch will share insights on her business, mental health, and self-care practices. The day will be filled with a variety of engaging activities, including guided bird walks, live performances, crafts, and games. This is a wonderful opportunity to honor Shirley Chisholm's legacy and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the New York State Parks system.

All activities are free of charge and open to everyone. While no registration is required, RSVPs will receive email reminders and parking information a few days before the event. Participants are advised to wear secure shoes suitable for wet or muddy conditions.
