The Madlab Post Brings Wave of Light to 'Home Movie Day' in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - Oct. 16, 2024 - PRLog -- The Madlab Post today announces their participation in Home Movie Day, in partnership with the Center for Home Movies.

Home Movie Day is an annual celebration encouraging people around the world to dust off their old films and videos, providing communities the opportunity to preserve and reflect on family histories, cultural heritage, and days gone by.

This year's Philadelphia event will be centered around the theme of remembrance, especially for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The event is open to anyone who wishes to participate in honoring these personal memories of people who are no longer with us, through video tributes, storytelling, mementos and community art installations on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

The event will feature a community video compilation of tributes, alongside a special screening of never-before-seen excerpts from a historical documentary film project exploring themes of loss and remembrance.

Special guests and attendees are invited to share brief tributes or stories in honor of those who have passed away, through lightning talks, contributing their personal aspirations, hopes, or reflections as part of a global participatory art project where attendees can write tributes, share memories, or simply reflect on those they are remembering.
