SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Oct. 23, 2024 - PRLog -- 61-year-old Marine veteran Keith Holiday from Mebane, Nc., has never had the chance to watch his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, play live. Now, with just two months to live, he's on his way to a game, thanks to the NFL team and Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults.

Keith reached out to Dreams for Veterans, a program of Dream Foundation that serves terminally-ill veterans, when he was told that his cancer was terminal. Keith has been a Steelers fan since he was 10 years old and has always dreamed of attending a game in person but never had the opportunity.

"I've accepted that my fate on this earth is coming to an untimely end," Keith says. "My life hasn't always been easy, but watching my Steelers play, win or lose, has always brought me great joy."

Keith and his best friend, Eric, will travel from North Carolina to Pittsburgh with Fisher House Foundation Hero Miles, awarded to Dreams for Veterans in recognition of the program's innovative and positive impact on our nation's heroes and their loved ones. Once on the ground, the friends will be hosted by Turo, one of Dream Foundation's loyal partners and attend the Sunday, October 28th game at Acrisure Stadium against the New York Giants.

Keith is proud of having served. "I've fought for this country and my life, Keith says. "I just want to watch my boys play and celebrate my last days!"
