Follow on Google News | Women's Manufacturing Network announces selection of New LeadershipCrystal Brown-Tatum and Jessica Watson will serve as Co-Presidents of professional organization aimed at enhancing women's careers in manufacturing.
By: Women's Manufacturing Network "WMN was founded in 2020 because of the need to increase the number of women in the manufacturing profession. As a professional recruiter, I identified that women were underrepresented in leadership roles and needed the resources to develop their manufacturing careers. Despite the success of the organization, I realized it was time to relinquish the organization to competent leaders who could continue the growth and objectives set for the organization,' says Pepper. "I will continue to serve on the Board and advise and am looking forward to where Crystal and Jessica take the organization. Initially, the search was for one leader to serve as President but these two leaders were willing to work together and demonstrate the power of women collaboration." Brown-Tatum is a global Human Resources consultant and Founder of Black Girl HR. She has extensive experience in product manufacturing and has been instrumental in establishing programming and initiatives aimed at developing female leaders. She is a graduate of The University of Houston and completed Human Resources certification studies at Syracuse University. Watson has over 18 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, developing her career from a contract administrative assistant to her current role as a Project Manager. She has worked in powder coating, precast concrete, and steel manufacturing, with most of her career centered in the steel industry. Passionate about women's leadership in manufacturing, Jessica is dedicated to networking and collaboration. Brown-Tatum and Watson have learned how to navigate their careers while juggling motherhood and personal pursuits. They hope to share their career journeys as they work to identify and develop the next generation of Women's Manufacturing Network. New Board appointments will be announced soon.
