BACKGROUND:
This unique approach to addressing domestic violence in the community stems from a heart-wrenching case worked by the Victim Services Division.

"This is the first year we are doing this," said Saly Fayez, Director of the Victim Services Division of the Fairfax County Police Department. "Collecting beauty items by no means diminishes the severity of domestic violence or the critical importance of addressing its physical, emotional, and financial impacts."

This initiative is driven by the voices of victims themselves, ensuring that their needs and experiences shape the support offered. It acknowledges the complex situations many victims face, including the desire to shield their loved ones from distress while navigating their healing journey.

The campaign continues through October 31st. For more information about the fundraiser, please contact Ms. Saly Fayez at Saly.Fayez@fairfaxcounty.gov.
