Chilling New Horror Film Set to Terrify Southwestern Ontario

WINDSOR, Ontario - Oct. 30, 2024 - PRLog -- South Detroit Films and Riggi Media International Inc. announce the production of "Avery," a bone-chilling psychological horror film set to shoot in Spring/Summer 2025 in Windsor and Chatham, Ontario.

"Avery" follows the disturbing journey of a young girl with a sinister connection to her serial killer father, known as the Dollmaker. As Avery's seemingly innocent facade crumbles, the line between victim and villain blurs in this heart-stopping thriller. Directed by Dan Savoie and featuring a talented local cast, "Avery" promises to push the boundaries of the horror genre.

With a mix of established and emerging talent, including lead actors Jacqui Childs (Naked News), Jeff Burrows (drummer from The Tea Party), August Kyss (Murderbot, Wolf Hollow), Brian Vollmer (lead vocalist of iconic Canadian band Helix), Kara Ro (MMA fighter and CKWW host) and nearly 30 more, "Avery" is poised to put Southwestern Ontario's film industry on the map.

Local newcomer Elora Iera, a 9-year-old rising star, has been cast in the chilling role of Avery. Her haunting performance in the teaser trailer, filmed in the deepest, darkest corners of Scarehouse Windsor, has already sent shivers down the spines of horror enthusiasts.
