Plant Construction Company opens Silicon Valley office in the heart of downtown San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Nov. 4, 2024 - PRLog -- Plant Construction Company, L.P. (Plant), a California-based firm providing general contracting and construction management services from the Bay Area to Southern California and beyond since 1947, announced it has opened a Silicon Valley office at 225 West Santa Clara Street, #1130. Located in the center of downtown San Jose, the new office is centrally located within walking distance to restaurants and shops, as well as a short drive to major freeways and Caltrain.

Recent Plant projects in Silicon Valley include:

• The Graduate Palo Alto in Palo Alto involved the restoration and renovation of the historic 57,000-square-foot Hotel President. This iconic, six-story building was designed by the renowned Birge Clark in the Spanish Colonial Revival style in 1929 and first opened to guests in 1930. Plant restored the building's original hotel use by converting 75 vacant apartments to 100 hotel guestrooms.
• At the Stanford Sapp Center for Science Teaching & Learning in Palo Alto, Plant provided design-build services for the historical renovation, seismic upgrade, and expansion of one of the oldest buildings at Stanford University. Originally built in 1902, the four-story building was a key component of the university's long-range vision to create a new biology/chemistry quad on campus.
• At LinkedIn South Bay in San Jose, Plant performed renovation and various tenant improvement including demolition, installation, make-ready work, and MEP upgrades, all while the space was occupied. Plant also created a modular outdoor space that could scale to host events while simultaneously providing employees with workstations, lounging areas, and mini golf.
