Soroptimist International Castlebar Project Honoured as the Only European Finalist in Global Award

CASTLEBAR, Ireland - Nov. 5, 2024 - PRLog -- Soroptimist International Castlebar proudly announces its achievement as the only European project shortlisted in the "Educate" category at the Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) Best Practice Awards 2024. Competing with over 200 entries from around the world, SI Castlebar's project was recognized for its dedication to educational empowerment and innovative impact on the local community.

The shortlisted project focuses on enhancing educational opportunities for women and girls in Castlebar and beyond. By addressing barriers to education, it provides tools, mentorship, and support to those seeking to advance their learning and life skills. This recognition at the international conference, held in Edinburgh, celebrates the success and positive change fostered by SI Castlebar within their community.

Aisling Nolan, Immediate Past President of Soroptimist International Republic of Ireland, who attended the conference, remarked on the project's success:
