Attn:Business Editor: For "Talk Money Day," Check out a song about Money called "Big Bucks"

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Nov. 6, 2024 - PRLog -- Talk Money Week and Talk Money Day are supposed to be all about talking about financial literacy, and whenever you're thinking about Money, all throughout the year, you might also want to sing a few choruses of a song about money that I co-wrote called "Big Bucks."

"Big Bucks" is a song about the hopes and dreams of making big money, and the frustrations about not making big money.

Some of the lyrics about the hopes of making big money go like this:

"A million bucks for throwing a ball

A million more for a sales call

It don't take brains

It don't take brawn

I only hope it don't take too long."

HERE IS SOME BACKGROUND ON THE SONG:

I originally started writing "Big Bucks" as a poem in the early 1980s after some second-string, second baseman, who seldom hit over .200, got a multimillion dollar deal just for playing baseball. Then, in 1998, I teamed up with a musician named Gary Warren, and we co-wrote the song version of "Big Bucks."

The song was released in 1999 and it got some airplay on several radio stations that played rap and hip-hop.

SO, WHENEVER YOU START THINKING ABOUT THINGS LIKE FINANCIAL LITERACY AND INCOME INEQUALITY ET CETERA…

*AND whenever you hear a politician talking about 'Income Inequality' after they've just attended a $50,000 a plate fundraising dinner...

*And whenever you hear about an athlete getting a mega million dollar deal just for throwing a ball...

*And whenever you hear about a CEO getting millions of dollars in a severance deal, just for getting fired...

...at least you can vent some of your frustrations about money with a song about money called "Big Bucks"….The lyrics are timeless and universal.
