ORLANDO, Fla. - Nov. 7, 2024 - PRLog -- The Women's Executive Council (WEC) of Orlando announced  Dr. Francelis Gonzalez, renowned Board-Certified Pediatrician and founder of Kidsville Pediatrics, as one of the five distinguished recipients of the 52nd Annual Women's Achievement Award. Dr. Gonzalez, affectionately known as Dr. G, was celebrated for her exemplary contributions to health and wellness in Central Florida at an event held on October 24, 2024, at The Abbey in Orlando.

Dr. Gonzalez has been a pillar of the Central Florida medical community since 1999, dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric care. A native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Gonzalez graduated Cum Laude from the National University Pedro H. Ureña in the Dominican Republic and completed her pediatric residency in Ponce, Puerto Rico. After further specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, she moved to Orlando in 1998, where she quickly made her mark by establishing Kidsville Pediatrics. Over the years, her practice has grown to include five pediatric and three family practice clinics throughout the region.

Beyond her medical expertise, Dr. Gonzalez is a devoted community leader and philanthropist. As the first Hispanic founding donor of the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and President of the Rose Society of Kids Beating Cancer, Dr. Gonzalez has made a lasting impact through her support of local charities and arts organizations. Her tireless work has earned her numerous accolades, including Latina Style Magazine's "Entrepreneur of the Year," Orlando Magazine's Woman of the Year, and the Don Quijote Award, among others.

"Receiving the Women's Achievement Award is an incredible honor," said Dr. Gonzalez. "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community and advocate for children's health and wellness in Central Florida."

The Women's Achievement Awards, now in their 52nd year, celebrate women who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and leadership across various fields. The event, hosted by Spectrum News 13's Julie Gargotta, featured hors d'oeuvres, food stations, a silent auction, and entertainment, with community leaders and supporters gathered to honor this year's honorees.
