"Magic Box" - new single from Larry E. Williams

CARDIFF, Wales - Nov. 13, 2024 - PRLog -- Two South Wales songwriters have joined forces to create a new single "Magic Box". Larry E. Williams' songwriting career began with Rhys Mwyn's Crai Records while Darren Parry's credits include being The UK Songwriting Champion and tracks aired on BBC Radio 2.

"Magic Box" takes inspiration from the links Larry has forged with Goldies Cymru and local care homes over the years, seeing first-hand the positive impact music can have on those suffering with Alzheimer's and dementia. The video was created by Moonray Films at Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff Bay -

Larry's focus as a songwriter is in the narrative – taking a story and allowing it to be told through the music. He lives in Penarth and delivers his Songwriting Doctor music workshops to schools throughout South Wales. Darren is a Merthyr Tydfil born singer/songwriter who says... "I'm constantly trying to write the best possible songs that resonate with people on an emotional level".

The song focuses on an older lady who plays a music box. When she plays the music box and watches the model ballerina turining around it immediately takes her back in time to her younger days of falling in love, dancing and being carefree. The songwriters imply that perhaps the lady has memory loss but that this 'magic box' re-ignites her spark, her fond memories of days gone by!
