A Trucking Legacy Continues: Gav's Truck Shop Launches in Memory of Gavin Gill

SHEFFIELD, U.K. - Nov. 14, 2024 - PRLog -- Sheffield, South Yorkshire — The Yorkshire trucking community is welcoming a new addition: Gav's Truck Shop, a Sheffield based service hub offering maintenance, inspections, MOTs, recovery, and parts for HGV trucks. Founded by the team behind the renowned logistics company Logillistics, Gav's Truck Shop is more than just a garage. It is a tribute to Gavin Gill, a well-loved figure in the trucking world, whose integrity and kindness continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

Gav, who took his own life on 14th November 2022 at the age of 32, had a profound impact on the people around him. A genuine soul with a passion for trucks and the wider community around them, he was known for his unwavering honesty and commitment to fair service. This ethos forms the core of Gav's Truck Shop.

"We wanted to create something that would carry Gavin's spirit forward in a way we could live every day," said Prem Gill, Director of Gav's Truck Shop. "Gav loved the camaraderie of the truck industry. He would have loved working in this garage."

With Gav's Truck Shop truck owners, haulage companies, and local garages across Sheffield and the broader Yorkshire area can now count on a transparent, trustworthy service they can depend on. Here, every job is charged fairly, reflecting only what's needed. This promise—the Gav way—is how the team honors the values Gavin held so dear.

In addition to its primary services, Gav's Truck Shop will also expand with a rental division planned for 2025, with a specialism in vehicle hire for Film and TV.
