Uoffer Global hosts recruitment fair to celebrate sustainability and innovation in education

"A toast to two decades of progress: Uoffer Global's new form recruitment fair promises insights and connections to redefine global education

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. - Nov. 15, 2024 - PRLog -- Uoffer Global together with University of Birmingham, University College Dublin, Queen's University Belfast, The University of Sheffield, Study Group ran a new form of recruitment fair with the Chinese international students in Leicester.

Although the UK tightened the policies for international students, Chinese students continue to represent one of the important international student populations in the UK, as they are not greatly affected by the policy that international students are no longer able to bring dependents on UK student visas.

According to Michael Bissel, the Deputy Head of International Recruitment from the University of Birmingham, they have 40,000 students and 10,000 are international students, and Gavin Chaw, China Director from University College Dublin shared they have 42,000 students and 10,000 international students from 154 countries with 13% Chinese students. This reflects the contribution of international students from around the world.

"We realised a shifting of 12.24% of Chinese international students' final choices to be in Ireland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia in the recent year with. We tried to enhance the attractiveness of the universities who attended our event by hosting a student fair in an innovative way" stated by the UK managing director from Uoffer Global.

The new form of recruitment fair focuses on deepening engagement, fostering long-term relationships, and promoting cultural exchange between students and universities by incorporating traditional red packet lucky draw. Also, the speed dating session observed from the fair, facilitates dynamic and personal connections between students and universities. According to the QS, nearly three quarters of the Chinese international students said talking directly to universities influenced their decision making (https://insights.qs.com/hubfs/Reports/QS%20ISS%20224_Sour...)(QS, China From to the World 2024), which shapes a new format of recruitment fair essential to enhance experience with their interaction with the universities to reduce shifting preferences post-application.
