CAPITAL HEIGHTS, Md. - Nov. 22, 2024 - PRLog -- 1441 Incorporated, a mission-driven nonprofit transforming lives through addiction recovery, reentry programs, and mental health services, is proud to announce its expansion to Charlotte, North Carolina. With a proven track record in Prince George's County, MD, and the Washington, D.C., metro area, the organization is bringing its innovative House of A.R.M.S. model to address Charlotte's growing homelessness and addiction crisis.

Since 2018, 1441 Incorporated has delivered transformative services to adolescent boys (ages 12-24) and adult men (ages 25-50) in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Through substance abuse recovery, reentry support, and mentoring programs, the organization has consistently empowered vulnerable individuals to reclaim their lives.

The House of A.R.M.S. (Addiction-Reentry-Mental Health-Services) is a 24-hour, full-service wellness recovery program designed to provide substance abuse recovery, reentry support, and mental health services to young adults and men ages 18-50.   This residential program utilizes: 1) Tobacco, Alcohol, Prescription Medication, and Other Substance Use (TAPS) Tool for comprehensive substance use assessment. 2) Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Behavioral Therapy models to support recovery and reduce recidivism among returning citizens and individuals with substance use disorders.

Why Charlotte? "Charlotte's homelessness crisis demands urgent action, and we are here to make a difference," said Andre Gore, Executive Director of 1441 Incorporated. "Our evidence-based approaches will provide hope and sustainable solutions for individuals impacted by addiction, reentry challenges, and mental illness."

Recent data underscores the urgency, with over 3,000 individuals in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area experiencing homelessness, including 127 unaccompanied youth and nearly 300 families with children.
