The International Songwriters Day Song Contest seeks "Inspirational" Songs, Lyrics & Music Videos

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 1, 2024 - PRLog -- The sixth year of the International Songwriters Day (April 9) Song Contest is now in progress and runs to April 2, 2025! Do you have an "inspirational" song, music video or lyric?

The contest is open to everyone. The International Songwriters Day Song Contest are not looking for production and performance. Originality, melody and lyrics are the main judging criteria.

There is also a Music Video category and Lyric/Poem category. You are welcome to submit an "indie" music video with an "inspirational theme," (if you are not signed to a major label).  Foreign music videos are accepted with English subtitles. Lyrics and poems again should deal with some type of inspirational theme.

There are some highly skilled judges this year, with some golden ears. Your music will be in front of Mike Gormley, LAPD Mgmt. who helped launch the careers of (Rod Stewart, BTO, Rush, The Police, Danny Elfman, the Bangles), Martin Isherwood, Head of Music at Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), David Eaton (producer/engineer for Polyphonic Spree, Dynamite Hack, Archivist for top tier record label) and Diana Williamson (2 x #3 Billboard Hot Club Chart Writer, Author and CEO of Themusiclibrary.org) and the R&B, Grammy nominated Calloway Brothers who have written for Natalie Cole, Teddy Pendergrass and Gladys Knight..

The company has created two international song contests in the past and received entries from over 23 countries. One was voted "Top 10" by Music Connection Magazine. They are a group of hard working music professionals who want to hear, promote and discover some great music.
