Follow on Google News | Premier Mobile Health Services founder, CEO named Nonprofit Executive of the YearBy: Premier Mobile Health Services The Foundation's Excellence in Nonprofit Performance Yearly (ENPY) Awards recognize the accomplishments of Southwest Florida nonprofit organizations, as well as their leaders, advocates, supporters and volunteers. This year's award winners were selected from more than 300 nominees. Winners were announced Dec. 3 at a Fort Myers ceremony. Singh started Premier Mobile Health Services in 2018, tapping her personal savings to buy the clinic's first RV on eBay. The mobile health clinic on wheels now visits multiple locations in Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and Immokalee each month, with a Colonial Boulevard walk-in clinic open daily. "It's an absolute honor to share this recognition with so many shining lights of our region's nonprofit community," said Singh, who was joined as a Nonprofit Executive of the Year finalist by Healthcare Network CEO Jamie Ulmer and Marcia Davis, executive director of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers. Premier Mobile Health Services has treated more than 13,000 clients since its inception, providing frontline care during the COVID-19 outbreak and in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ian and Milton to low-income children, families, individuals and the uninsured. Patients without insurance and those who provide proof of income below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines account for two-thirds of its population and are provided care at no cost; others in need pay on a sliding scale based on income. The Community Foundation award recognizes exceptional overall leadership and community impact; innovation in programming strategy or management practices; and success in obtaining the resources needed to further the organization's mission. Judges cited Singh's journey from high school dropout to successful health care entrepreneur as an inspiration. She's a national advocate for her profession, serving on the board of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. Locally, Singh was also recognized as a 2024 Health Care Hero from Gulfshore Business and was a finalist for the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce's 2024 Community Impact Award. End
