Follow on Google News | BRIDGES at Highland Celebrates Grand Re-Opening in New LocationThe event, which drew 70 attendees, marked an important milestone in enhancing the support and services available to families in Palm Beach County. Community Partners of South Florida CEO Kelly Powell emphasized the critical role BRIDGES plays in strengthening families. "Through BRIDGES, Palm Beach County families gain the tools they need to ensure their children grow up healthy, safe, and strong. Programs like this provide a vital stepping stone toward future success — helping children enter Kindergarten ready to learn and ensuring they're reading on grade level by the end of third grade," said Powell. BRIDGES is a network of neighborhood hubs funded by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County. These hubs connect families with resources to foster healthy development, school readiness, and community engagement. The re-opening event was attended by notable community leaders, including Vice Mayor of Lake Worth Beach Sarah Malega, representatives from Highland Elementary School, Fire Station 91, the Lake Worth Beach Sheriff Department, Children's Services Librarian Cindy Ansell, and Pastor Loren Samuels of Lighthouse New Testament Church. Supporters and collaborators such as the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County also played an essential role in making this celebration a success. Local artist Jose Mendez provided event photography, while DJ Marlon Reid of Harmonious Muziek and Teen Outreach Program Coordinator at CPSFL set the celebratory tone.
