TCVN Celebrates 40 Years of Impact with the Inaugural ROCKY™ Founders Choice Awards

IRVINE, Calif. - Dec. 17, 2024 - PRLog -- Tech Coast Venture Network (TCVN) marked its 40th anniversary with an extraordinary celebration featuring the inaugural ROCKY™ Founders Choice Awards. The event, co-hosted by Founders Flow, brought together over 75 founders, investors, educators, and community leaders at OneDigital in Irvine, CA.

The highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, where (10) outstanding community leaders who have empowered founders on their entrepreneurial journeys were recognized.

The Rocky™ Award winners were: David Ochi, Executive Director of the Innovation Incubator at CSU Dominguez Hills; Stephen Silver, Founders of SoCal Startup Day; Bracy Fuentes, Ideation Navigator at RevHubOC; Isabelle Bart, Founder of Impact Innovator; Ryan Foland, Director of the UCI ANTrepreneur Center; Scott Fox, CEO of StartupCouncil.org; Cynthia Kirkeby, Founder of Wiz-a-Witz; Michael Sawitz, Chief Enthusiasm Officer of FastStart.studio; Matt Hanson, Director of New Ventures at UCI Beal Applied Innovation; and Farrah Khan, former Mayor of the City of Irvine.

"We're thrilled to celebrate these rock-solid leaders who make our community exceptional," said Aaron Klein, TCVN Executive Director. "This milestone anniversary is the perfect moment to recognize their invaluable contributions."

In addition to the awards, attendees participated in a holiday toy drive benefiting The Eli Home, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse. The generous contributions of attendees helped make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need this holiday season.

The event was co-hosted by Founders Flow, a SoCal-based community dedicated to connecting tech founders through meaningful experiences. "We're proud to collaborate with TCVN to celebrate the individuals shaping the future of innovation," said Chi Pham, Founder of Founders Flow.

During the celebration of TCVN's 40-year legacy, President Tony Crisp unveiled an ambitious vision for the organization's future, announcing "TCVN 2084," a strategic plan designed to propel the organization toward its 100-year anniversary. "TCVN helps early-stage Founders cross the bridge between ideas and investments," said Crisp, "We are excited to announce TCVN's strategic partnership with Octane and their LaunchPad SBDC Accelerator to help empower entrepreneurs and increase pathways to funding."

This no-pitch evening allowed attendees to relax, network, and reflect on a year of accomplishments, reinforcing the power of community and collaboration in the entrepreneurial journey.
