FORT MYERS, Fla. - Dec. 27, 2024 - PRLog -- Child Care of Southwest Florida (CCSWFL) has received a $25,000 grant from the Daniel R. and Anne M. Harper Foundation to assist low-income families with tuition at its six early learning centers in Lee County.

The Daniel R. and Anne M. Harper Foundation was established in 2000 with the purpose of continuing the philanthropic work of the Harper family. For over 50 years, the Harper family has been active in the Fort Myers community, supporting many charitable, religious, scientific and educational organizations. The Foundation continues the work of Daniel and Anne Harper, working with local organizations to improve the lives of people in their community.

"On behalf of the entire Child Care of Southwest Florida team, I want to thank the Harper Foundation for its generosity and support toward furthering our mission," said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. "Thanks to the Foundation's support, we will be able to better the lives and education of each child that comes through our center doors."

As a nonprofit, CCSWFL partners with local charitable foundations and businesses to provide affordable, high-quality early learning programs in Lee and Hendry counties. The Harper Foundation's grant will provide approximately 50 families with scholarship assistance, empowering at-risk children with access to early childhood education.

"The Foundation understands that education is one of the most crucial items children need as they grow, develop and become our future leaders," said Ronald E. Inge, executive director of the Daniel R. and Anne M. Harper Foundation. "We are honored to support Child Care of Southwest Florida in its valuable efforts regarding this need and building block for our children."

CCSWFL offers partial and full scholarships to assist low-income families in paying for tuition, empowering children for a lifetime of success. Donations to the scholarship program allow parents to focus on work and provide for their families while their children receive high-quality early childhood education.
