Corporate Travel in 2025: Key Predictions from itilite

CLAYMONT, Del. - Dec. 31, 2024 - PRLog -- The global business travel industry is projected to reach $1.6 trillion in 2025 according to GBTA. itilite saw an increase of around 75% in the volume of travel with its customers, as compared to the last year, showcasing how quickly corporate travel has recovered from the pandemic.

By 2025, nearly 70% of employees are expected to operate in hybrid setups, necessitating flexible travel solutions that accommodate decentralized teams (Deloitte, 2023). itilite surveyed 50 of its customers about hybrid setups and the main reason for following hybrid set up was rising inflation.

2024 saw rising airfares (up by 4.7%) and hotel prices (up by 3.7%) as compared to 2023 (French, n.d.). itilite predicts that cost savings will become an even more important topic among travel managers in 2025. It was observed that 52% of hotel bookings on the itilite platform were done through itilite corporate cards which gives a 2.5% cashback incentivising savings. itilite expects to see an increase in corporate card usage as such rewards become more prevalent.
