Follow on Google News | PulteGroup breaks ground on new mortgage-free home for Wounded Veteran in Wells LandingBy: PulteGroup Northeast Florida "It is truly a privilege for our team to build this home for Sergeant Cooper and thank him for his bravery and service to our country," said Justin Cook, PulteGroup's Northeast Florida Division President. "Wells Landing is the perfect place for the Cooper family to call home. We are honored to build a home for Antwian and his family that is fully accessible and will improve his quality of life." The Wells Landing location offers easy access to the St. Johns River and Ringhaver Park, and is near shopping, dining and services. The Centex home is being built specifically for the family and is designed to meet all of Sergeant Cooper's needs. A father of five, Sergeant Cooper joined the U.S. Army because he wanted to provide a better life for his family, to serve his country, and fight for everyone who was lost during the terrorist attacks on 9/11. He served with distinction in the U.S. Army, completing five deployments – three to Afghanistan and two to Iraq. After serving his country for over 11 years, he was honorably and medically retired in October 2016. During his years of service, Sergeant Cooper was exposed to many challenging and life-changing experiences, which have affected both his physical and mental health. The home is being built in partnership with Building Homes for Heroes®, a national non-profit organization strongly committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and women who were injured while serving our country's armed forces.
