Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands donates $800 to United States Power Squadron

SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Jan. 10, 2025 - PRLog -- Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands has donated $800 to the local chapter of the United States Power Squadrons through the bank's "We Love Our Islands" program. The nonprofit was selected to receive the funds by bank customer and longtime islander Fay Carney.

To support the island communities, the bank's "We Love Our Islands" program calls on its customers each week, empowering them to choose a nonprofit to receive a donation from the bank. Participating customers place a "We Love Our Islands" decal on their vehicle and Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands randomly selects a participant for an opportunity to choose which nonprofit will receive the bank's donation that week.

This donation marks $146,000 awarded to date through the "We Love Our Islands" program. It also represents the sixth donation since the bank doubled its weekly contribution. All islanders are invited to participate in the program and may visit the bank's Sanibel or Captiva offices to pick up a vehicle decal.

This donation is a great way to show how much we appreciate being your island bank."

The United States Power Squadrons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to boating safety and education. There are nearly 20,000 members organized into more than 300 squadrons across the country.
