DELHI, India - Jan. 24, 2025 - PRLog -- The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official UPSC Notification 2025 for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) on January 22, 2025. Aspiring candidates can now access detailed information regarding the examination process, eligibility criteria, important dates, and the UPSC CSE Exam Form. Application Process:

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms.

  • Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of India.

Examination Structure:

1.     Preliminary Examination: Scheduled for May 25, 2025, this objective-type exam serves as a screening test. It comprises two papers: General Studies Paper I: 100 questions, 200 marks. General Studies Paper II (CSAT): 80 questions, 200 marks.

Note: Paper II is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum of 33% marks.

1.     Main Examination: Commencing on August 22, 2025, the mains consist of nine descriptive papers, including: Essay Paper Four General Studies Papers Two Optional Subject Papers Two Language Papers (Qualifying)

2.     Personality Test/Interview: Candidates who clear the mains will be called for an interview to assess their suitability for a career in civil services.

Vacancies:

The exact number of vacancies for the UPSC CSE 2025 will be announced in the official notification. In the previous year, 979 vacancies were reported, indicating a competitive selection process.
