SAN FRANCISCO - Jan. 29, 2025 - PRLog -- VeganFlix Studio is happy to announce the recipients of this round's VeganFlix Seed and Spark Grants, a program dedicated to amplifying vegan visibility and promoting the ethical treatment of animals through the power of film and media. Special thanks to The Amber and Adam Tarshis Foundation for sponsoring this cycle of the grants.

This round, VeganFlix Studio proudly supports the following exceptional projects:
  • Billie Dean and Andrew Einspruch with A Slice of Heaven: A humorous, satirical, and heartwarming web series about a sensitive vegan creative couple who move to the countryside and confront casual cruelty and outdated attitudes toward animals.
  • Emmanuel Joster with Born This Way: A personal documentary chronicling the challenges and triumphs of advocating for veganism in Uganda.
  • Luciana Daniela Gagliardo and Nikashnók with Santuario Sierra del Cielo: A poignant film capturing a woman's transformation to veganism while volunteering at an animal rescue center.
  • Nabaasa Innocent Amumpaire with Born Empathetic: A short film exploring children's innate compassion for animals. The story follows a group of children visiting a local farm, contrasting their natural empathy with the learned indifference of the adult world.
  • Yayoi Lena Winfrey with What's On Your Palette?: A stirring animated short about a mother cow's heartbreak after her calf is taken to be sold as veal, highlighting the disconnect between consumer choices and their impact on animal lives.
From personal documentaries to heartfelt comedies, these unique projects aim to inspire empathy and start meaningful conversations. 'We're grateful for the opportunity to support such dedicated and creative storytellers,' said Sara Abed Millman, co-founder of VeganFlix Studio.
