FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Jan. 30, 2025 - PRLog -- Business executive William O'Hanlon has formally filed a criminal complaint with the Broward County Sheriff's Office (BSO) and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of Enrique Ruiz and Jader Lopez for their involvement in a large-scale fraud, identity theft, and financial crimes scheme that has defrauded victims of more than $1.5 million.

The complaint, filed under Case #11-2306-004397, alleges that Ruiz stole over $55,000 worth of proprietary sales records, including thousands of customers' sensitive banking information, from Ryan James and Daniels Corp. Ruiz and his associate, Jader Lopez, then used this stolen data to establish a fraudulent telemarketing operation, which was used to illegally withdraw funds from victims' bank accounts without consent.

"This is a blatant case of grand theft, wire fraud, and identity theft. Despite providing clear and compelling evidence to the Broward County Sheriff's Office in 2023 (videos below), no action was taken," said O'Hanlon, who is demanding the immediate reopening of the case. "Because of this inaction, these criminals were allowed to continue their fraudulent activities, stealing over $1.5 million from innocent consumers."

Demands for Immediate Action

O'Hanlon's formal complaint calls for:
  • The immediate reopening of the investigation and escalation to senior law enforcement officials.
  • The arrest and prosecution of Enrique Ruiz and Jader Lopez for felony theft, fraud, and identity theft.
  • Accountability for the initial mishandling of the case by BSO, including a formal explanation for why no action was taken despite strong evidence.
  • Coordination with federal and state financial crime units, including the Florida Attorney General's Office, the FDLE, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Escalation to Higher Authorities

O'Hanlon has made it clear that if BSO and FDLE fail to act within seven (7) business days, he will escalate the matter further by filing formal complaints with:
  • The Florida State Attorney's Office
  • The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)
  • The Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
  • Media outlets to expose law enforcement's inaction on financial crimes
"The Broward County Sheriff's Office has a duty to enforce the law and protect victims of financial crimes. Allowing these criminals to continue operating freely is a gross failure of justice," O'Hanlon stated. "This case will not be ignored any longer, and I will ensure that those responsible are held accountable."

O'Hanlon urges any additional victims of Ruiz and Lopez's fraudulent activities to come forward and report their experiences to law enforcement.
