By: www.jonathanjohnsonatlantalawyer.com ATLANTA - Feb. 5, 2025 - PRLog -- A female airline passenger has filed suit against Delta Air Lines, Inc., and a John Doe passenger, for a sexual assault on an aircraft. The passenger was on flight DL1417 from Atlanta to JFK Airport. The complaint alleges that a flight attendant escorted the assailant to a window seat next to the female passenger. She alleges the assailant stumbled recklessly as he came down the aisle. Before the plane took off, the assailant groped the female passenger. She pressed the call button several times, then he attempted to grab her genitals. Nobody responded to the call button, and the assailant grabbed the female passenger's hands and restrained them. The aisle passenger yelled at the assailant and also pressed the call button. The female passenger was then groped a third time. As soon as the plane reached cruising altitude, she got up and requested a seat change. At no point during the incident was she assisted by flight attendants. When they reached JFK airport, security met them. The assailant was still noticeably drunk and belligerent. He was carried out of the airport by the police who strapped him to a stretcher. He was screaming obscenities as he was being removed. Following this incident the female passenger required treatment for PTSD. The case is Wynberne Welcome v. Delta Air Lines, Inc. and John Doe, Gwinnett County State Court, 25-C-01303 (February 4, 2025).
The complaint also reveals a list of other incidents involving sexual assault on Delta Air Lines employees and passengers, most of which involved intoxicated passengers making aggressive unwanted advances. The case was filed by the law firm of Jonathan W. Johnson, LLC.https://www.jonathanjohnsonatlantalawyer.com End
