Colorado Cleantech Launches Inaugural Colorado Climate Week for March 24-26

First-ever event will bring cleantech innovators, policymakers, corporate leaders, and investors together to discuss climate, energy and sustainability innovation

DENVER - Feb. 11, 2025 - PRLog -- Colorado Cleantech and a broad cross-section of partners, including the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Cooley, Chevron Technology Ventures, Galway Sustainable Capital, Foley Hoag, Colorado School of Mines, Beck Venture Center, Naviscale, Halliburton Labs, Curvepoint Capital, and The Tech Leads, will host the state's inaugural Colorado Climate Week from March 24 to 26.

The event, which will include panel discussions, keynote speakers, valuable networking opportunities, and an innovation showcase expo, marks the first of its kind to bring thought, policy, and business leaders from across the country to Colorado to learn about and discuss the climate landscape and its business implications.

"As a leader in both cleantech and  climate action, Colorado is uniquely positioned to host this event," said Colorado Cleantech Executive Director Laura Hickernell.  "While coastal hubs like New York and San Francisco have climate weeks, Colorado Climate Week is a can't miss opportunity to not only learn about our region's important work on climate and sustainability but also engage with many of Colorado's key players and decision makers in this space. These connections are particularly important  during this changing federal funding environment."

The state of Colorado is a national leader in cleantech employment, research and development, and investment. The combination of companies, national laboratories, and university resources that call the state home are second to none. Colorado was the first state to pass clean energy standards by ballot; it's 4th nationally in cleantech job concentration; 8th in cleantech venture capital investment; and, with its federal laboratories, Colorado ranks no. 1 in the world for cleantech research.

"Colorado has set bold climate goals, and we are so lucky to have so many cutting-edge businesses and forward-looking academics in our backyard who are constantly trailblazing in ways that help us reach those targets," said CEO Deputy Director Dominique Gomez. "Colorado Climate Week will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our ample resources and discuss new cost-efficient pathways to support our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ensure clean air, and further bolster our climate resiliency."

Events will occur in Denver at Colorado State University's Spur Campus, INDUSTRY RiNo Station, and the Sheraton Hotel. Additional Information, pre-registration and details on sponsorship opportunities are available on https://coloradoclimateweek.com.

"Cooley is thrilled to partner with Colorado Cleantech as this collaboration underscores our commitment to driving innovation and accelerating the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy," said Keith Berets, partner at Cooley law firm. "Together, we aim to advance climate solutions and foster a clean energy future for Colorado and beyond."
