LANSING, Mich. - Feb. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- Michigan based Collective Development Inc. (CDI) (www.cdiproductions.com) have been telling stories since the late 90's. Their films have covered multiple genres enjoyed by millions of fans around the world. One of their most popular films is a (mid) western 'Wild Faith' released in 2018 with Bridgestone Multimedia. The award-winning film stars Shane Hagedorn as Emmett Murphy, an ex-Civil War soldier who makes a promise to Black soldier who saved his life. That promise was to care for the dying soldiers wife and daughter. The film takes audiences back in time giving them a glimpse at life in 1870's Michigan. A crashed circus train, a tiger, kidnappers and more all play into this rip-roaring adventure. The film can be watched on most all platforms.

The production team has been trying for years to launch a TV series 'Hastings,' a spin off from the original film. Screenwriter DJ Perry wrote eight 44 min shows to follow the original film during the Covid lockdowns. The series had a few opportunities but Perry was unwilling to give up creative control over the project. While the TV show sat on a shelf the audience demand for more kept growing louder. The distributor's streaming platform ENCOURAGE TV has had just shy of 9 million views alone for the original. When the distributor requested a Christmas film, 'Wild Faith Christmas' was born.

Based upon the true history of the Orphan Train, which was a supervised welfare project that brought orphans from the East Coast cities west across the country placing children in homes. From 1854 to 1929 around 200,000 children were placed. In this follow up movie the people of Hastings took up donations and are sending them North to a church that is housing some of these children for the holiday season. Mining and the debate over child labor popular in the 1800's is also at the heart of the story.

The sequel takes place five years after the original. Several of the original characters return and many new faces are introduced. The sequel is directed by Shane Hagedorn and is slated to release into select theaters on Nov 1st, 2025 with partners Dreamscape Productions. It will run for several months before it prepares for the home video release on the run up to the 2026 holidays.
