![]() Never Fade Into Darkness: An Art Show & Fundraiser for Kidney Health & Organ Transplant AwarenessDialysis Education Services teams up with leading kidney organizations to spotlight personal journeys, raise funds, and offer hope to those facing organ failure.
At the heart of the exhibition is Justin Pham's compelling photo series, offering an unfiltered look into the daily life of someone living with chronic kidney disease. Diagnosed at 30 and currently undergoing peritoneal dialysis, Justin shares a raw portrayal of his physical and emotional journey. Through candid images and personal reflections, he encourages guests to deepen their understanding of chronic illness and connect with those who face similar challenges. In addition, guests will encounter the striking oil paintings of artist and kidney transplant recipient, Jimmy "Jimmy Q" Quinzon. After nearly a decade on dialysis, he received a lifesaving transplant. His art is infused with themes of faith, survival, and renewal, reflecting the profound transition from patient to transplant recipient. Twenty percent of his artwork sales will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the University Kidney Research Organization (UKRO), supporting crucial research and patient advocacy. Throughout the evening, speakers such as registered dietitian Jonathan Diaz, transplant advocate Marc Coronel ("The Kidney Fighter"), and representatives from the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the University Kidney Research Organization (UKRO) will offer insights on kidney health, nutrition, and organ donation. Their combined expertise underscores the urgency of supporting individuals awaiting transplants and highlights the vital role of community involvement.
