Scott Lardner of Rocky Mountain Stone Receives Prestigious Migliore Lifetime Achievement Award

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Feb. 20, 2025 - PRLog -- The Natural Stone Institute has honored Scott Lardner, President of Rocky Mountain Stone, with the esteemed Migliore Lifetime Achievement Award. This recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the natural stone industry and the association, honoring the legacy of Vincent R. Migliore, the award's namesake and first recipient.

Scott Lardner's journey in natural stone began at an early age. His father, Vince Lardner, founded Rocky Mountain Stone in 1963, and Scott grew up developing a deep understanding of all sides of the trade. After decades of learning about the lifecycle of natural stone, from mining to installation, Scott became President of RMS in 1990, spearheading the company's expansion across the Southwest.

Beyond his leadership at Rocky Mountain Stone, Scott has significantly impacted the industry by serving on the board of directors of the Natural Stone Institute, where he also served as President. His work has shaped the future of the industry, particularly through his instrumental role in developing the NSI Accreditation Program, which sets a benchmark for excellence among natural stone companies. Additionally, Scott played a key role in creating safety training videos and guidebooks that benefit stone professionals nationwide.

Scott's dedication extends to his local community. He actively promotes New Mexico businesses on a national scale through the NM Amigos, and has served  in organizations such as Rotary International, Executive Assoc. Of Greater ABQ, and the The Catholic Foundation, among others.

Established in 2003, the Migliore Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor given by the Natural Stone Institute. Winners are selected by industry leaders, including the NSI Board of Directors and past presidents, from nominations submitted by association members. The award serves to recognize outstanding service, dedication, and leadership in the field.
