SAAFE Happy Hour: "Black Women and Relationships" Breaks Records with 500+ Sign-Ups

WASHINGTON - Feb. 20, 2025 - PRLog -- The SAAFE Happy Hour Event: Black Women and Relationships was a record-breaking success! It became SAAFE's largest event ever, with over 500 sign-ups and an impressive 180+ attendees. The panel's information were shared with more than 1,300 women in the Strategic Alliance of African American Female Entrepreneurs (SAAFE) community. This was the most-attended and most-registered SAAFE Happy Hour event to date, highlighting the growing need for meaningful conversations on healing, connection, and empowerment among Black women.

Hosted by Dr. Kristy K. Taylor, Founder of SAAFE and WORxK Solutions, LLC, alongside co-host Kami Redd, this powerful session explored the complexities of sisterhood, dating, self-discovery, and healing through the lens of Black women's shared experiences.

The event featured special guest speaker Angela Johnson, a transformational wellness and spiritual coach, along with an esteemed panel of experts:
  • Cher Terais – CEO & Founder of As Written, By Cher Terais
  • Regina Y. Jones – Founder of The Spirit Within, LLC and Owner of United Lawn Specialist, LLC
  • Kenya Metoyer – Self-Discovery & Relationship Coach, Founder of Kenya's Keepsake
  • Kimiko Bryant – Gen Z Professional Certified Relationship Coach
  • Keyoka Russo – Professional Certified Matchmaker
The discussion went beyond dating—it addressed how Black women support, heal, and empower each other in all areas of life, from friendships to professional connections. The panelists shared wisdom, transparency, and actionable insights on breaking generational cycles, navigating relationships with self-worth, and building intentional, healthy connections.

"This event was not just about dating—it was about how we show up for each other as Black women, how we heal, and how we cultivate meaningful relationships," said Dr. Taylor.

One attendee described the experience as "eye-opening and healing," stating, "The panelists brought so much wisdom. I walked away inspired and ready to deepen my relationships in all aspects of life."

Expanding Support for Black Women Entrepreneurs

In addition to empowering conversations, SAAFE is committed to supporting Black women entrepreneurs and business owners.
