Robert Hernandez McDonald announces candidacy for East Mesa Justice of the Peace

MESA, Ariz. - Feb. 26, 2025 - PRLog -- The Honorable Robert Hernandez McDonald Jr has decided to get off the political sidelines and has joined the 2026 race for Maricopa County Justice of the Peace for the East Mesa Justice Court Precinct.

Mr. Hernandez McDonald said "I have seen how dysfunctional our East Mesa Justice Court Precinct has become and with the current Justice of the Peace having no legal background or training, I believe it's time to get off the political sidelines. Therefore, I formally announce my candidacy for East Mesa Justice of the Peace."

Mr. Hernandez McDonald will be running as a Democratic Party candidate for East Mesa Justice of the Peace. The East Mesa Justice Court Precinct is considered a safe ruby red Republican area but Mr. Hernandez McDonald believes he can win since he was both raised and educated in the precinct.

Mr. Hernandez McDonald hopes the voters of East Mesa will see that he has the legal background and training as a paralegal as well as a former detention officer for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
