The Center for Contemporary Art Offers Spring Art Classes for Adults, Teens & Children

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Feb. 27, 2025 - PRLog -- The Center for Contemporary Art is pleased to offer art classes and workshops this spring for adults, teens and children beginning April 7. Select classes will be offered in a hybrid or virtual format. Classes and workshops are offered for artists with all levels of expertise in a variety of media including oil and acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor, drawing, and ceramics.

There are more than thirty spring adult classes including, "Intro to Drawing," "Intro to Acrylics," "Morning Oil," "The Power of Pastels," "Artist Studio: Your Choice," "Morning Watercolor," "Afternoon Oil Landscape," "Chinese Brush Painting," "Portrait Drawing," "En Plein Air," "Evening Painting," and ceramics classes such as "Beginner Wheel Throwing," "Sculpture," "Glaze Chemistry," "Adventures in Clay," "Tableware with Keiko," and "Advanced Ceramics."

Spring one and two-day workshops offer students the opportunity to try something new. Workshops include "Animal Portraiture," "Drawing Children with a Splash of Watercolor," "Intro to Writing," "Finding the Personal Landscape," "Still Life Drawing," "Watercolor Portraits," "Pen & Ink," and ceramic workshop "Art After Hours: Mother's Day Ceramics," and more.

In person classes are available for teens and children. For children ages 5-8 classes include "Afternoon Art in All Dimensions," "Drawing & Painting," "Mixed Media." Students ages 9-11 can select from "Afternoon Art in all Dimensions," "Pottery," and "Drawing & Painting." Teen offerings include "Digital Storytelling," "Pottery," "Anime & Manga," and "Painting Intensive."

In person classes will be offered for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs, ages 6-16, beginning April 14.  Students will explore a variety of art projects specifically geared to their interest and ability both in two-and-three dimensional approaches.
