Follow on Google News | PacketLight and Fujitsu Optical Components Achieve 800G TransportBy: PacketLight The PL-8000M is the first device to launch in PacketLight's 800G product family, and is ideal for carrier infrastructure, DCI connectivity, cloud providers, high end enterprises, research/education campuses, and high bandwidth AI connectivity infrastructure. The CFP2-DCO module was the perfect choice for this achievement, due to its high performance, reliability, and compatibility with PacketLight's Layer-1 encryption solution - ensuring secure transport of encrypted 100/400/800GbE services. PacketLight will formally introduce and conduct a live demo of the PL-8000M Muxponder at the 2025 OFC Conference in April (booth 3232). Koby Reshef, CEO of PacketLight: Yukiharu Fuse, Corporate Officer, Fujitsu Optical Components: "We are delighted to collaborate with PacketLight on this significant achievement. Our proprietary Thin-film LN (LiNbO3) technology combined with advanced on-board optics, resulted in the superior performance of the 800G CFP2-DCO module, and delivering high transmission capacity and low power consumption. Fujitsu Optical Components is committed to providing cutting-edge optical component solutions and we look forward to further collaboration with PacketLight in shaping the future of optical networking." With a total capacity of 1.6 terabits in a 1U chassis, the PL-800M is designed as a modular, cost-effective solution for rolling out 400GbE and 100GbE services or increasing network capacity. Like other PacketLight equipment, it is ideal for building pay-as-you-grow architecture. About PacketLight: About Fujitsu Optical Components: https://www.fujitsu.com/ End
