ROME - March 3, 2025 - PRLog -- Italian director and psychotherapist Flavia Coffari is proud to announce the launch of her Kickstarter campaign for her upcoming short film, "Blue Headphones," a
poignant and powerful exploration of autism awareness.
As a director and psychotherapist, she has always been passionate about telling stories that move and make you think. Her previous works include the award winning short films "Constellatio Gemini," "You Are Never Alone," "I Am Alda,"and "The Magic Cave."
The idea for "Blue Headphones" was born from a meeting with Rossella Baiocchi, a writer of children's stories and a Tuscan entrepreneur, at a screenwriting seminar held by Fabio Bonifacci and Francesco Trento of the School "How to Write a Great Story." "Blue Headphones" tells the story of Luca, a child with autism who has attended the Comprehensive Institute since kindergarten. Thanks to his teacher and his wonderful classmates, he has managed to integrate into the school environment and everyone knows him as: "The boy with the blue headphones." But in middle school, everything changes. The Italian teacher discriminates against him, and Luca regresses. However, his lifelong friends have a brilliant plan
Her goal with "Blue Headphones" is to raise awareness about autism and promote inclusion. "I believe that storytelling has the power to change minds and hearts" "I hope that 'Blue Headphones' will inspire audiences to embrace diversity and promote inclusion."
The Kickstarter campaign aims to raise funds for the production and post production of the film, as well as its distribution to festivals, schools, and streaming platforms. With the support of the Social Enterprise "I bambini delle fate" (The Fairy Children), which has provided free patronage for the project, Coffari is confident that "Blue Headphones" will have a lasting impact on audiences worldwide.
