Woxna Introduces The First Stainless Steel Foldable Saw

STOCKHOLM - March 17, 2025 - PRLog -- Swedish outdoor brand Woxna has launched Ljusnan, the first foldable saw with a stainless steel blade made from 10C28Mo2. Unlike traditional carbon steel saws, Ljusnan resists rust, thereby stays sharper longer, and requires minimal maintenance - ideal for outdoor and everyday use.

Inspired by Scandinavian Craftsmanship

"Woxna was born when I saw a picture of an old, rusty saw next to a Helle knife and a Gränsfors axe," says Elma Delic, Woxna's CEO and co-founder. "I wanted to create a saw with the same aesthetic and quality as traditional Scandinavian axes and knives - crafted from fine wood, designed with timeless elegance, and made from premium, rust-resistant steel."

Designed to Perform

Ljusnan comes in two sizes, with blade lengths -180 mm (7") and 250 mm (9.75") - both featuring a three-phase grind and seven teeth per inch, ensuring versatility for a variety of outdoor tasks. Whether building a shelter, preparing firewood, carving, or maintaining trails, Ljusnan delivers exceptional performance. Its functionality extends beyond the wilderness, the concave side profile delivers very clean cuts -excellent for pruning trees in your garden.

Sustainably Made in Sweden

Woxna was founded by Elma Delic, an entrepreneur with extensive experience in tools and outdoor products in both Sweden and the U.S., and Ulf Bäckström, who runs a Swedish saw factory founded by his father in 1984.

To ensure both high quality and sustainability, all Woxna saws are manufactured in Sweden, where the company maintains full control over production. The blade is crafted from Alleima's (formerly part of Sandvik) 10C28Mo2 stainless steel, known for its exceptional durability and sharpness. Unlike most similar saws, Ljusnan can be resharpened, extending its lifespan and making it a more sustainable choice.
