By: Dave Bryant Music Dave notes that "This group has been one of the great joys of the series. Matt and I are preparing another program of compositions by Ornette Coleman and Bern Nix, and it's always great to reunite the rhythm section of Prime Time vets Fred and James." Dave recently announced that the fourth 12-month cycle of "Third Thursdays" concerts will kick-off in April with a "Third Thursdays" Pacific Northwest tour through Seattle, Bellingham, and Vancouver BC. April's "Third Thursdays" on-the-road tour will include Neil Leonard (sax), Jamaaladeen Tacuma (bass), and James Kamal Jones (drums), along with Dave's longtime colleague King Dahl on bass and Jerry Steinhilber on drums, both prominent musicians on the Bellingham scene. There will not be a "Third Thursdays" Cambridge concert in April. In May, the series will resume its monthly sessions back on its home turf in Cambridge. More details will be made available by mid-April, as "Third Thursdays" moves into its fourth cycle, which is made possible by generous support from the Appalachian Springs Foundation and the Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church.
