Follow on Google News | Using dynamic electricity tariffs for heatingHEA•THOR heating element and my-PV DTO software save up to 35% of electricity costs
By: my-PV GmbH my-PV DTO: Leveraging Dynamic Electricity Tariffs The my-PV DTO enables users with dynamic electricity tariffs to harness renewable energy cost-effectively. Integrated into the my-PV Cloud, it analyzes user habits and technical parameters to determine optimal heating times based on real-time electricity prices across 13 European countries. This automated system activates the boiler's heating element when electricity prices are lowest, potentially reducing electricity costs by up to 35%. The DTO is compatible with all IoT-enabled my-PV devices, including AC ELWA 2, AC•THOR, AC•THOR 9s, and SOL•THOR. Users can easily access and monitor their operating data via the my-PV Cloud. HEA•THOR: The New IoT Heating Element The HEA•THOR is a network-enabled heating element designed for both hot water and buffer storage tanks. Available in single-phase (3.5 kW) and three-phase (9 kW) versions, it connects to the my-PV Cloud via LAN or WLAN, facilitating efficient use of dynamic electricity tariffs for heating purposes. Its design ensures low thermal surface loads, enhancing product longevity. The HEA•THOR can also be controlled through the my-PV Cloud API or Modbus TCP/RTU protocols. The HEA•THOR will be available for order through wholesale and specialized retailers starting in the third quarter of 2025. Upcoming Trade Fair Appearances my-PV will showcase these innovations at two major industry events:
Journalists are invited to schedule individual press talks at both events. These advancements underscore my-PV's commitment to integrating renewable energy into everyday household heating solutions, offering consumers both environmental and economic benefits. About my-PV Located in Neuzeug, Austria, my-PV GmbH was founded in 2011. Since then, it has developed into a major manufacturer for photovoltaic water heating systems. Since 2018, my-PV has also been thinking solar-electrically in the heating and space heating sector. In August 2021, the company relocated to the unique solar-electric company building at Betriebsstraß https://www.my- End
