In 2008, a collaborative effort between Warren County Park District, Warren County Commissioners, Turtlecreek Township, Otterbein Senior Life, and the State of Ohio ensured the park's preservation and opened it to the public. Armco Park spans 311 acres and features a 110-acre lake with boat rentals and fishing, an 18-hole executive golf course, a four-diamond softball complex, scenic picnic shelters, hiking trails, and ample green space for relaxation and play. Warren County Park District has maintained the park's rich history while updating facilities and program offerings, providing a hub for outdoor recreation and family fun. The park's natural beauty, recreational offerings, and rich history make it a standout destination for visitors of all ages. "This award acknowledges the hard work of the Park District's passionate and dedicated staff, as well as the love and loyalty shown by our park customers," said Matt Latham, Warren County Park District CEO. "Armco Park is a special place where nature, recreation, and history come together, and we are proud to be stewards of this community green space where families and friends create lasting memories."
