SYDNEY - March 21, 2025 - PRLog -- Petition Launched | Federal Budget Submission Planned | AI Learning Tool Released

As youth mental health issues, body image distress, and childhood obesity surge across the country, NaturismRE (NRE) is calling for naturism-friendly body acceptance education to be introduced in Australian schools.

The proposed program aims to combat bullying, depression, and inactivity by helping students develop a healthier relationship with their own bodies — not through nudity in classrooms, but through education that fosters self-respect, resilience, and confidence.

"We're raising a generation of children who are more connected online than ever, but more disconnected from themselves. Body shame is stealing their confidence, their health, and in some tragic cases, their lives. That has to stop," said Vincent Marty, Founder of NaturismRE.

The Stakes Are High: A National Crisis
  • Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15–24, with body image and bullying listed as significant contributing factors.
  • Nearly one in three teens reports being unhappy with their body, leading to mental health struggles, withdrawal, and self-harm.
  • Childhood obesity has more than doubled in the past two decades, as students avoid physical activity due to fear of being judged.

What the Program Teaches

The proposed curriculum would integrate with existing subjects such as Health & Physical Education, Mental Well-being, and Environmental Studies, and would cover:
  • Body positivity and body diversity education
  • Mental health literacy focused on self-worth and confidence
  • Encouragement of physical activity without appearance-based judgement
  • Environmental awareness through naturism's values of minimalism and sustainability

No nudity is expected or permitted in schools. However, students may be encouraged — if comfortable and with parental consent — to explore naturist practices at home, such as experiencing safe, private nudity in their bedroom, to foster natural self-acceptance.

AI Support Now Available: Aletheos Junior

To support learning and awareness, NaturismRE has released Aletheos Junior, a general-purpose, informative AI tool available to the public.

It provides:
  • Scientifically grounded explanations about naturism, body confidence, and mental health
  • Informative guidance for students, parents, and educators
  • Resource support for campaign awareness and community education

Note: Aletheos Junior is not yet age-specific. Child-safe and filtered versions will be developed in future as funding allows.

Aletheos Junior is free to access now via www.naturismre.com as part of our national campaign.

A Message from the Founder

"This isn't about promoting nudity — it's about reversing the damage done by shame, bullying, and unrealistic body standards. We need to empower young Australians to know their worth, respect themselves, and embrace who they are — fully and unapologetically," said Vincent Marty.
